After the success of the first restaurant in NYC, restaurateur Simon Kim and team moved their attention to the next tech capital of the USA, Miami. Located in the heart of the Art District, the restaurant’s exterior was created to elegantly stand out in comparison to the extravagant high-end storefront in the area.
For their new location we expanded the Cote brand and adapted to Miami’s warmer climate with the introduction of magenta as the main color; brought to life by a new series of collaterals. We then created the interior signage that compliments the brand and plays off the surrounding arts district. We collaborated with renowned @studioyondr to create detailed, etched-style illustrations of the meat cuts. (See their process here.)
For the exterior and interior signage, we collaborated closely with the interior architectural firm, MN. Together we brought to life the brand’s extension on both the design and the production of several elements. The beacon just above the door’s entrance welcomes the guests into a Turrell-Esque experience before reaching the dining room.
