Designing your own identity is no easy task, so Studio A lead by Pau Casals, one of the leading Peruvian design agencies, reached out to me and fellow designer Guillermo Brotons to work with them on their studio identity redesign.
Studio A is part of the Interbrand worldwide network. It’s common that large design studios such as Studio A end up communicating themselves as monolithic structures. And yet, each designer inside them also has his or her own voice and style.
Starting from this premise, we redesigned the identity of the studio using a dynamic A as the logo. Each time the logo appears, the A takes a different shape to illustrate the many people that work for the studio.
To make the project even truer to its premise, each A was designed by a member of the studio—from the owner to the junior designer and the janitor—by following a few simple instructions that we had set up in advance.
